HAZMATPAC was formed in 1991 to satisfy the new demand for certified packaging created by the introduction of HM-181. With the introduction of HM-181 the United States took the initial step toward the harmonization of our domestic regulations with the United Nations model. In response to market demand for a new type of UN certified packaging, HAZMATPAC began to design, market, and sell containers for the safe transport of hazardous materials. This new venture was so successful that the company quickly outgrew its original office space. Within a year and a half HAZMATPAC moved to a new location in Houston, expanding to over 30,000 feet in combined office and warehouse space. In 2004 the company opened its second distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, adding an additional 31,000 feet of warehouse space to its distribution capacity. This expansion allowed HAZMATPAC to more effectively service its customers in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the country and to become more competitive in those markets. By always putting compliance, safety, quality, and customer service first HAZMATPAC has continued to flourish. In August of 2010 the company needed a larger facility in Houston and moved its corporate offices and warehouse to a new location on Blankenship Drive. With 48,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, HAZMATPAC is well prepared to face the increasing demands and challenges of the dangerous goods transportation industry.
